Wabash Valley College Home to Wicked Wheels Event

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 2. Wabash Valley College’s Diesel Equipment Technology Program will host the 3rd Annual Wicked Wheels Car, Truck, Motorcycle & Antique Tractor Show.

Whether you have a Wicked-looking car, truck, motorcycle or antique tractor, you are invited to come out for a chance to win one of over 40 trophies that will be awarded. There will be 4-foot and 3-foot trophies awarded in the following categories: CARS: Pre-1941, 1941-1960; 1961-1980, 1981-Present; TRUCKS, MOTORCYCLES, TRACTORS: Pre-1939 (Antique Class), 1939-1959 (Vintage Class), 1960-Present (Classic Class).

The show will be held in WVC’s Main Hall parking lot, and show hours will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Judging will be at noon, and awards will be presented at 1:45 p.m. There will be food, games and fun for all ages.

Tri State Auto Show Offers Trophies

Car buffs will have a chance to win trophies Saturday at the Tri-State Music Festival Car Show. Registration for the show will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.   Cost is $15 per car.  The show will held be in the parking lot east of Convention Hall off Grand. Ronnie Kaye, of KOMA radio, will be DJ at the show, which will last until 2 p.m., said Debbie Lambert, Tri-State director.  The top car will receive the Tri-State sweepstakes trophy. Other trophies will be given to Best of show, best paint, best interior, best engine, top classic car (first through third), top pickup (first through third), top modified/hot rod (first through third), top Corvette (first and second), top Mustang (first and second) and other (first and second).  There also will be five $20 random pick prizes, a 50/50 pot and door prizes.

Volkswagen and Audi through its local agent LMC emerged winners of almost all the Motorshow trophies. The trophies were awarded during the closing ceremony of the 2nd Libyan Motorshow which was held in the mid of January, this year.
