Davison senior Tylor Greene won his second boys singles bowling state title in March, accomplishing something no other bowler has done in Michigan High School Athletic Association History.
Wyoming Kelloggsville senior Jessica Lubbers capped a stellar career the same day, when she finished runner-up in the girls singles bowling state finals. It was her second runner-up finish and accompanied her 2010 state title.
Today, Lubbers and Greene were named the 10th recipients of the Matt Fiorito Miss and Mr. Bowling trophies, given by the Michigan Interscholastic High School Bowling Coaches Association and sponsored by the Free Press.
The trophies are named for the late Free Press sports writer who was a hall-of-fame bowling writer.
